The magazine for film lovers and beyond. The Metrograph: Issue 2 is the second edition of the print publication from New York's iconic Metrograph theater — a beautifully considered artifact designed by Matt Willey at Pentagram and printed on premium Italian paper.

Each issue balances the seductive with the sophisticated: engaging essays, long-form interviews, newly commissioned photography and illustrations, clever comics, and a movie-themed crossword. Issue 2 features original cover artwork from painter Louise Giovanelli; a centerpiece celebration of underground icon Paul Morrissey, drawing on his largely unseen personal archive; a career-spanning interview with German auteur Christian Petzold by novelist Christine Smallwood; and a tribute to the late writer and performer Gary Indiana.

The kind of magazine you actually keep.
