A square matchbox by The Archivist Gallery featuring a sardine tin with two fish rendered in soft pinks and blues—captioned "SARDINES, WE'RE BETTER TOGETHER, LUXURY MATCHES" in confident vintage typography. The wordplay does double duty: sardines are packed together in tins (that's their whole commercial identity), and the phrase quietly extends that literal fact into a small romantic sentiment.
From The Archivist Gallery, the London studio founded by Hayley Coghill—pulling from vintage illustration, natural history archives, and the great image traditions to make paper goods worth displaying. Designed by Louise Lockhart of The Printed Peanut, with 125 natural matches in a square 110mm box. Letterpress printed in the UK on FSC-certified paper.
