Before the helmets, before the brands. Last Days of Summer is the complete archive of Hugh Holland's photographs of California skate culture from 1975 to 1978 — the brief, sun-bleached window before the sport was sanctioned, sponsored, and changed forever.

Holland followed the sidewalk surfers from the streets of Los Angeles to the San Fernando Valley, Venice Beach, and as far south as Baja California, capturing a subculture in its purest form. The book gathers many never-before-seen images alongside an introduction by Shepard Fairey and extensive interviews, tracing the rise of a movement through the photographer who saw it first.

A summer that never quite ended.
